Dillon Patel knows the Triangle the way someone does when it has always been the backdrop. He grew up in Cary, studied architecture at North Carolina State University’s College of Design, and after twenty months working in Wilmington, came home on purpose. Today he lives in Chapel Hill with his partner, Reeva, and works in Raleigh — close enough to the neighborhoods he was raised in, and close enough to the ones his clients are choosing next.
A licensed practicing architect as well as a REALTOR® with Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty, Dillon brings an uncommon fluency to residential real estate. He does not only evaluate a property by price, location, and finish. He reads how it is built, how it will age, what a renovation can honestly become, and where a beautiful listing photograph is hiding a structural or design problem. That training spans every scale of building — from houses to institutions — so clients who are buying, selling, or planning their next chapter get an advisor who can hold both the transaction and the architecture in the same conversation.
That dual lens is especially useful for discerning buyers and sellers of custom, renovated, and design-forward homes, and for anyone who wants the process to feel considered rather than hurried. Dillon is precise, calm under complexity, and oriented toward long relationships. The goal is not simply a closing. It is a house that still makes sense after the moving truck leaves.
When he is not with clients, Dillon is usually running, exploring the restaurants and culture reshaping the Triangle, or spending time with Reeva and the friends he has known since childhood. He is an NC State Wolfpack loyalist, and he takes real pleasure in being part of the community he grew up in.
