As a third-generation REALTOR, Julia grew up watching her mother and grandmother succeed in residential real estate. Her interest in having such a dynamic and instrumental career led her to follow their lead, and her interest in the strong growth of Raleigh's communities makes it a perfect match.
Prior to taking the real estate exam and joining Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby's International Realty, Julia worked for a real estate attorney in downtown Raleigh. Due to her time at this firm, she is very familiar with the closing process, closing documents and the settlement statement. While in this position, she was the main point of contact for all buyers, sellers and agents, which gave her an inside view of the process that takes place before closing. Her goal at the law firm was to always put the client first and to ensure a smooth closing for all parties. She intends to maintain that mindset while working on the other side of the table.
Julia was born and raised in Raleigh and attended school at Lacy, Daniels and Broughton. After graduating from Broughton, she attended the University of South Carolina. Although she enjoyed her four years in South Carolina, she always knew she wanted to return to Raleigh. Her local knowledge of the area makes her thrive in the real estate community. Julia serves on the Membership Committee for the Junior League of Raleigh. She lives in a condominium in the heart of downtown and loves spending her free time exploring all the changes of the city.
