Meet Anna

Real Estate Professional
Anna Ball has been playing 'pretend' real estate since the third grade. As she ran through her neighborhood streets in Raleigh she would admire the houses, picking out her favorites, pointing out things she would change, and picturing who should live in them. She would play with the old MLS books her dad brought home before the MLS was online, and she would help him hold open houses. She always helped him put signs in clients' front yards and loved walking through homes being built. Matching houses with people is truly Anna Ball's passion. She realizes that helping you buy a house is more than just finding the right bricks and mortar. It is about helping choose a place where life happens - a reflection and an extension of who you are and where your hopes and dreams take root - and when it is time to move on, she understands it is also memories that are being sold.

When Anna Ball graduated from Wake Forest in 2006, she decided to start her career in real estate. Quickly all of the training she had as a child started to pay off, and after her rookie season, she was a top agent in her firm for five years. She spent twelve wonderful years in the beautiful city of Winston-Salem before returning to Raleigh in 2014. Family is fiercely important to Anna Ball and she always knew she'd be back home.

Her love for people and their homes began long before Anna Ball made it her career. Her grandmother is in the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors®' Hall of Fame for her influence as president of Nadine Hodge Realty, founded in 1968. Her father Joe Hodge, along with Gilliam Kittrell, created Hodge & Kittrell Realtors® in 1987 and they have grown it into the successful company that it is today - the oldest independently owned real estate firm in the Triangle. Anna Ball is proud to be the third generation in this family-owned business.

Anna Ball is not only passionate about her real estate career, but she wants to make a difference in the community her family has called home for over 150 years. She is a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the local chapter of the Wake Forest University Center for Private Business, and she enjoys volunteering at UNC Rex Hospital. She continues to run daily throughout Raleigh, often escaping to Umstead State Park and the American Tobacco Trail, has completed the Boston Marathon and has her sights on some lofty goals in the future!
